US Senator - Should The Internet Have Been Invented?

My thoughts are that if all you had to do is look at stuff and say "Gee, that's very very complicated. We should never have invented it" and make said stuff go away, half the universe would have vanished during George W. Bush's presidency.

Not sure this qualifies under lies or fear/dark, but if I had a *facepalm channel, It would definitely be there.
