The Atlantics - Bombora

Formed in Randwick, Sydney in 1961, The Atlantics (named after a brand of petrol) became Australia's best known and beloved instrumental group. Comprising Bosco Bosanac (bass), Peter Hood (drums), Theo Penglis (rhythm+lead gt.) and Jim Skiathitis (lead gt.), the group had enormous success with "Bombora" - it reached No.1 for seven weeks in 1963, was released in 12 countries, and archieved world-wide sales of over 500.000. Sven Libaek (CBS) was their producer.
