Tacere - Deep Tears Of Tradegy

From Wiki : About The Band

Tacere is a diverse metal band from Finland. Tacere occupies Karri Knuutila, the founder of the band as their male vocalist and Helena Haaparanta as their female vocalist. Due to their line up that is arguably similar to other Finnish metal band, Nightwish they've often been compared to them in the media. Tacere however claims that they don't follow Nightwishes' footsteps, and that their musical influences come from elsewhere.

Knuutila originally formed Tacere (First known as "Tacet Lacrimae") as his solo project, but expanded upon the idea to create a full sized band. The first official line-up was formed at the end of year 2002. Band's name was shortened to Tacere and Tacere recorded their first studio record "Into your dreams". Tacere had had only male vocals until in spring 2003 Helena Haaparanta joined the band (she had made quest appearance before on Tacere's "The legend of GĂ©vaudan" demo)

In 2005 Tacere signed a recording contract with SM-Records and their first single "I devour" was released 31 May 2006. A Mini album called A voice in the dark followed in November 2006. Tacere released their first full length album in 2007. The album is called Beautiful Darkness and it has been released in Finland, as well as in some other European countries. It's also been released in Japan and some other Asian countries.

In early 2008, Helena made the tough decision to leave the band, after recording six new demo songs with them. The band has been 'reborn' as they put it, and has a different sound to it, but is sad to have lost Helena. Four of the new demos are up for download on the band's myspace. Tacere is currently looking for a new female vocalist, as well as a new label, as they split ways with their old one in late 2007. Although without a label and vocalist, Tacere is still planning to begin recording their next album in late may 2008. Whether the 6 demos they've recorded will be re-recorded with the new vocalist for the album is unknown.
