North Korea's Pulgasari - Kim Jong Il's Monster movie

[The North Korean movie] Pulgasari, presumably made because Godzilla was not kitschy enough, is the charming story of a monster originally created "for the people" who eventually turns on them after being corrupted by greed and capitalism. Which seems bizarre, until you remember that the people who made this were mostly being fed grass. - www.cracked.com

Sad that a movie with this kind of shoddy quality came out in 1985, to put that in perspective it's the same year that the following films came out:

The Breakfast Club
Back to the Future
Rocky IV
The Goonies

Now I know what you're thinking, those movies don't showcase a giant monster attacking the city, but Ghostbusters does. And Ghostbusters does it damned well too. http://www.videosift.com/video/Ghostbusters-The-Video-Game-Trailer
