As the drones are approaching the base, they are hijacked by cloned Kaiju brains that were planted inside causing the drones to attack the base resulting in heavy casualties.

Newt (Charlie Day) and Dr. Hermann Gottlieb (Burn Gorman) attempt to stop the drones, however, Newt reveals he’s behind the drone attack and plans to end the world. But Liwen Shao (Jing Tian) is able to shut down the drones and save Jake Pentecost (John Boyega), Nathan Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and many others.
