Joe Scarborough Destroys Rep. Tim Huelskamp

I don't normally like titles that way overstate what happened (eviscerates, greatest ever, most incredible, most amazing... shit like that), but considering Joe's political affilliation and rather excellent, logical challenges to what he was hearing, I think he kinda did "destroy" the SOB, at least to people who are tired of the kind of party wordplay he was regurgitating and his attempt to dance around the issue.

Still not a huge Joe Scarborough fan, but it's refreshing to see him get pissed off and challenge gun lobby bullet points spewed by a fellow Republican who thinks any politician discussing ways to solve a serious problem is "politicizing the issue". Please don't allow these bullshit, committee-approved, thinktank-generated buzz-terms to settle into your consciousness. Accusing the opposition of politicizing issues you don't want to talk about may satisfy the Republemcan base, but don't let them deflect your demands for answers and action. Fucking snakes.

Since I'm ranting anyway, I also think the NRA's recent solution of placing armed volunteers in schools is as equally ridiculous as Huelskamp's nonsense. Let's hope any potential shooter checks in at the school security office first and asks for a firearm pass. What if a shooter simply kills the armed guard first? Even if he doesn't, how many humans do you think he could kill in a crowded school with an assault rifle before an armed guard could act effectively? It's called an "assault" rifle for a reason.
