Jodorowsky wanted his "Dune" film to induce hallucinations

via QuietEarth: Alejandro Jodorowsky's Dune was an incredibly ambitious project, one that, had he gotten his way, would have included music by Pink Floyd, designs by Moebius and HR Giger, and Salvador Dali, Orson Welles, and Gloria Swanson in the cast. Although the movie never came to fruition, this first clip of the documentary Jodorowsky's Dune offers some idea of what the director had in mind.

Frank Pavich directs this documentary, which tracks the two-year production and collapse of Jodorowsky's attempt to film Frank Herbert's masterwork. But even this early clip, where the director talks about his overarching ideas for the movie, makes me incredibly excited to see the full documentary and incredibly sad Jodorowsky's film never came to fruition.
