I don't like Islam as a religion and Sharia law sucks ass, but I don't think you can absolutely eradicate the 1st Amendment to fix the problem. The hypocrisy here is staggering, since they want to protect the 1st Amendment to protect Christian fundamentalists from having to cope with the changing morality of the country, yet they want to void all of those rights for Islamic believers.
