Dutch Police Use Trained Eagles to Disable Illegal Drones

The first eagles trained to take down drones that could pose a threat to crowds or VIP’s have finished their training and are now ready to be deployed.The Dutch police force is the first in the world to put birds of prey into action to intercept drones. Training of the birds started in January this year and was done by a private company. Given the success of the trials, Dutch police has bought a number of American sea eagle chicks. Police officers will be trained to work with the birds across the country.
