Astronauts on ISS drink recycled urine for the first time

A brand new system for recycling water from the air and from urine has been installed on the International Space Station. The astronauts inaugurated this system on 20th of May by drinking the first recycled water produced. The system is critically important for when the staff on the ISS will be expanded from 3 to 6 people, and will also be important on possible future expeditions to Mars.
