A neighbor has 20 cottonwood trees, many of them female trees, that produce cotton. In June it comes down like snow and collects in drifts in the driveway. Burning it off is one way to get rid of it quickly. Who needs fireworks when you can do this! Note: We'd burned it off the afternoon before, so this is less than 24 hours of cotton depositing itself in this place.
