The Art of Tipping

Man, do I ever love and appreciate people in the service industry. When I go to my local Corporate coffee shop, I despise paying nearly three bucks for a cup of coffee, but at the same time I'm more than pleased to extend a dollar tip to the 'barista' each time. Or even the cashier. Or whoever is there that may judge me later for being the prick that doesn't tip.

Here's the funny. People who wait on tables also tend to make more money based on the bill price. So, if they can convince you to accept that unnecessary slice of chocolate cake for desert, then the bill rises, and therefore the tip is expected rises.

This makes total sense. Our parents and grandparents will never understand this. But... here's how to tip your wait staff very well with a near 20% tip.

When you receive the final bill, simply move the decimal point to the left by one and multiply by two. Here's an example...

Say your bill is... $60.00

Move the decimal to the left by one... makes it $6.00

Now, multiply that price by 2... that gives you a tip of $12.00.

It's fool proof! Your wait staff is very much worth the 20%!
