Three pieces for your entertainment:
The Grauniad ran an opinion piece by former NYT executive editor Jill Abramson abtly titled "This may shock you: Hillary Clinton is fundamentally honest". The headline is enough to make my head spin, nevermind the content. Not worth spending time on, really. You can guess what the comment section thought of it. Not surprisingly, it was closed after an hour.
Worth a read, however, is a recent polemic by Sean Kerrigan: Will We Elect Hillary After Her Many, Many War Crimes?
What made me laugh was this: the supposed presidential frontrunner would have been hanged if judged by the standards set at the Nuremberg Trials, yet Amal Clooney, a human rights lawyer, holds a fundraiser for Clinton at $350k per pair for seats at her majesty's table. Who the hell needs satire anyway, not even Doug Stanhope could come up with most of the twisted shit reality confronts us with day in, day out.
Last but not least, Robert Fisk wonders why neither Cameron nor Obama seem to be celebrating the retaking of Palmyra from the IS.
"Here are the Syrian army, backed, of course, by Vladimir Putin's Russkies, chucking the clowns of Isis out of town, and we daren't utter a single word to say well done."
Spectacular Rockslide in Switzerland (two angles)
Hey, leave Vladimir alone!
He had nothing to do with that. My sweet, innocent, little President.
Russia - Bird pooped on Putin at opening of WWI monument
Ladies and Gentlemen, Comrades, I give you the Russian President, Vladimir Poopin.
Obama vs Ivan Drago
Even better when cut against Vladimir Putin.
Harrowing Footage of LGBT Beaten and Humiliated in Russia
He not only allows it, he endorses it with his pack of neo-nazi orthodox catholic Night Wolves. It's his idea to give the gays as a peace offering to the church. It's way sicker than you know.
This is the true Vladimir Putin: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/03/24/article-1369485-0B4FFF9100000578-679_634x423.jpg
That he cops do nothing and Putin sits by and allows it??- He's a piece of shit.
'Enders Game' Writer's Ridiculous Racist Rant Against Obama
Here is Card's preface before any of the Quotes TYT laid out:
"So as a science fiction writer and a student of history, allow me to spin a plausible scenario about how, like Augustus Caesar, Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolph Hitler, and Vladimir Putin, Barack Obama could become lifetime dictator without any serious internal opposition."
It is absolutely clear that he does NOT state this is a prediction of the future he expects. Meanwhile Cenk painstakingly sets up that the quotes are Card's rallying cry against what he expects to happen in the next few years. That's lying.
Card's statements prior to that were nothing any more severe than what all manner of people decried Bush and Cheney for and worse. Plenty of people talked at length about 'what if' Bush doesn't step down, or Cheney doesn't step down. I think it horrifically unfair to now leap down Card's throat for the same.
I'm not defending TYT's actions here, and I don't exactly take TYT seriously. Like Chingalera said, they're tabloidistic and unprofessional.
But again, to claim that the latter part of the article was a "purely fictional account" simplifies it excessively.
What Card did in the article was essentially the same as racists tend to do when they say, "I'm not a racist, but..."
Card was essentially saying, "I'm not saying that Obama is equivalent to Stalin, but Obama is equivalent to Stalin."
Now, Card says that the events described in his thought experiment were "unlikely," but they still erred on the side of insanity, and when he puts that in an article he's going to have to expect opposition. You can't just say whatever you want and then expect it to go unopposed simply because you loosely framed it as a "silly thought experiment" beforehand.
Inflatable Ball Ride Goes Bad On A Russian Ski Slope
how do you explain it to the parents? "i'm sorry mrs. vladimir, but your son vomited himself to death while doing an extreme zorba ball ride down a 5km mountain slope..."
Lennon's Poster
"V. I. Lenin, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov!!"
..no, not that one.

That is an interesting piece of info I did not know about. I never really understood why they went with Lynch for Dune, either. Not that that was a bad idea, I know a lot of people complain about Lynch's adaptation but I liked it a lot. I bet Jodorowsky's version would have been absolutely insane and even less on point with the Dune novel. I can only imagine all of the shit Jodorowsky could shove into that.
wiki: "he planned to cast the surrealist artist Salvador Dali as the Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV, who requested a fee of $100,000 per hour. He also planned to cast Orson Welles as the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, who only agreed when Jodorowsky offered to get his favourite gourmet chef to prepare his meals for him throughout the filming.[23] The book's protagonist, Paul Atreides, was to be played by Jodorowsky's own son, Brontis Jodorowsky. The music would be composed by Pink Floyd, Magma, Henry Cow and Karlheinz Stockhausen"
Damn, man has some fine taste in music. And yep, looks like it would have been insane.

>> EDIT: oh yeah, it's all there on IMDB but I won't spoil it for anyone.
That's because Dan O'Bannon recruited Giger for the alien creature design after working with him on Jodorowsky's failed attempt to make Dune.
Weird times. The days of hiring directors like Lynch to take over a science fiction epic are over. It didn't work and it's not what people want to see.
If Jodorowsky had made Dune, it would have given a handful of people hard ons and Rocky Horror would have fallen to the way side as the midnight movie standard. All in all, I think there'd be less trannys and Hedwig and the Angry Inch would never have been made.
Frank Herbert, Dan O'Bannon, Jodorowsky, Dali, Welles, and Pink Floyd all under one roof? The entire movie would have been one big water of life spice orgy. Pregnant women viewing the movie would've given birth to abominations possessed by Orson Welles.

And price changes from an increased "supply" of currency is called inflation.
Before I get into the rest of what you said, I want to just highlight this part because it's an example of the root problem with your entire reply.
You seem to have this habit of making tautological arguments that hinge on asserting that the premise you wish to prove is baked into the very definition of some word, and therefore you don't need to actually make an argument for said premise.
I've been here with you before, about a word whose definition is much fuzzier than inflation (liberty), but now you're doing it with a word whose definition is very specific, and clearly does not contain the premise you want it to contain.
This is also my answer to your disagreement about the meaning of fractional reserve banking.
This is also my answer to your disagreement about what modern-day Keynesian monetary theories say. I'll also add that your quote isn't a Keynes original, it's Keynes quoting Vladimir Lenin.
As to your very last bit, you have a funny idea of what "earned honestly" means. Supposedly you resent banks gambling with our savings. Did they honestly "earn" our savings?
