Well, I personally think Stevie Ray Vaughn plays the superior Voodoo Chile, but your point is relevant regardless. Slash playing the song sounded like a child carefully picking out each note with uncertainty, in comparison to the two artists that mastered it.

I had a weird musical childhood, It was pretty narrow but some decent stuff, one of those was Steely Dan. When I was 16 and life was kicking me in the gut I remember listening to Steeely Dan over and over. Today I appreciate them even more and found my kids enjoy it too. Currently though they ask me to play Stevie Ray Vaughn or Pink Floyd when they ride in my car.

I'm pretty happy with the turnout so far in the collective, it's one of those topics I just can't get enough of and since there was almost zero stuff like that on the sift, I took a chance. Thanks for helping.

Thanks, Steely Dan is great. Growing up it was just top 40 background noise, but we appreciate them now don't we? Post your clips and let me know. I might be logging off due to a storm later.
People seem to be enjoying the new collective. It's not my area I must admit other than watching years of X-files It has been fun shopping for it though

I have to admit I'm not very good at finding things apart from Youtube.

In reply to your comment:
nice Steely Dan sift. I have been tossing around sifting a few of their vids. Dailymotion has some good stuff from them, both old and new.
