It’s a good thing for a corporation to have a sensitive AI assisted microphone at your door recording every sound that they then actually listen to to determine if they should share it with police (or whoever else they like) without permission, notification, or notice, and no warrant for this listening device that records sounds from inside for police use?!

The “right circumstances” would be with the full knowledge and written permission of the purchaser/home owner/renter, not secretly (unless you caught this story) and without notice before or after, not even attempted notice, all after years of denial and silence on the issue.
In the right circumstances this is a good thing.

I want the switch to route the mic signal directly and solely to a speaker built into the candidate's lectern. Start talking when it isn't your turn, you get the feedback (but no one else hears it, or at least not nearly as loudly).

Just think, if he skipped this one we wouldn't have video proof to show Trump is a leader of white supremacist terrorists, not one to denounce them or even call for calm, just one to give instructions to "stand by" for violent action after the election.
I was thinking the moderator should have switches to just turn their microphones off when it's not their turn. This president calls for much more direct control that appealing to decorum, civility, or agreed on rules....as he proved. Cut his microphone, I bet he would walk off whining and crying.

Ronstadt said there are "great parallels" between Trump and Hitler.
"The intelligentsia of Berlin and the literati and all the artists were just busy doing their thing. Hitler rose to power. There were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn't speak out," she said. "The industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office, and of course he was not controllable."
"By the time he got established, he put his own people in place and stacked the courts and did what he had to do to consolidate his power," Ronstadt said, referring to the Nazi leader. "And we got Hitler, and he destroyed Germany. He destroyed centuries of intellectual history forward and backward."
"If you read the history, you won't be surprised. It's exactly the same," Ronstadt replied. "Find a common enemy for everybody to hate. I was sure that Trump was going to get elected the day he announced, and I said it's gonna be like Hitler, and the Mexicans are the new Jews. And sure enough that's what he delivered."
Ronstadt has been a vocal critic of Trump. Earlier this year, she said she didn’t “want to be in the same room with him” when she learned she would be honored at the Kennedy Center.
“I don’t think he would dare show his face. He doesn’t know anything about art. He knows about money,” said Ronstadt, who received the National Medal of Arts in 2014.
Trump ultimately decided not to attend the award ceremony this year, but Secretary of State Mike Pompeo did make an appearance. Ronstadt swiped at Pompeo during her speech after he cited her 1975 track “When Will I Be Loved.”
Ronstadt reportedly said after taking the microphone, “I’d like to say to Mr. Pompeo, who wonders when he’ll be loved, it’s when he stops enabling Donald Trump.”

The shadow of his head clearly goes slightly to the left of the screen, whereas the shadow of the trees is clearly going to the right.
Also, there is no chance his slightly raised voice saying "rally" at the end is the same volume as a rally car at full revs only a few meters away.

newtboyI'll grant you that the name flub, by itself, is nothing....infantile even to bring up....but when paired with his increasingly rambling, incoherent, irrational speaking style and total divorce from reality, it might be another indicator of dementia. If you forget where you park once, it's nothing....if you forget where you put your keys, where your car is parked, and what kind of car you have more than once a week, that's something.
To be fair, he went on to lie about it in short order, claiming he said Tim Cook Apple fast and the microphone just didn't pick up "Cook", so it's important to him enough to create a dumb public lie to cover it instead of admitting or ignoring a normal mistake....too bad there's video proving that's false....also too bad tens of millions will either believe Dumb Donald's obvious lies over their own eyes and ears, or cheer him for covering a nothing mistake with a dumb lie.
Give the man a break... I am not pro Trump in any way, but dont be hypocrites.... Look at your own cell phones and tell me it is not full of names like: Joe Plumber, Alex Computer Guy, Mike Mechanic.... Trump just happens to have a list that says Tim Apple, Bill Windows 95, Kanye Black and Obama Kenya.
