Luscombe Annual Inspection 2018

KrazyKat42 says...

Looks like the plane will last forever. That old technology is better than the new stuff in many ways. The controls are all hard-wired with mechanical linkages. The magneto means the engine keeps running even if the the alternator or battery fails.

Even with no electric power, a pilot can keep flying.

Why Magneto Can Never Be In the MCU

Mordhaus says...

Ahem, Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. Just as an example, although not seen (yet) in the MCU, both Dr. Strange and Charles Xavier together could not totally defeat her.

Quicksilver could probably take him down as well, but he is no longer available in the Avengers movie canon.

While not shown in the MCU, and therefore up to speculation, Thor's hammer can actually absorb Magneto's magnetic manipulation and cannot be controlled by Magneto. There is an alternate universe comic that shows Thor with multiple versions of the hammer, but only one is the actual Mjolnir. At one point, Magneto captures one of the non-Mjolnir hammers because it has a base of Iron instead of Uru (the metal used to forge Mjolnir).

So, pretty funny, but far from accurate. Obviously, Hulk doesn't seem to care who he smashes (if they are heroes or villains), so I don't think he would back down either.

LOGAN Official International Red Band Trailer #1

Payback says...

In canon, Logan's healing factor is actually impeded by the Adamantium. Magneto pulls it out of him at one point and we discover the claws are bone, and his healing factor is virtually instantaneous. Later, Apocolypse chooses him as a Horseman and re-applies the Adamantium, which also degrades his healing factor.

Appropriate music choice given what it looks like.

If anyone was wondering like me why he has scars, it was apparently explained that because they wanted to make a different tone of movie, they had to imagine what it would be like if his healing ability changes as Wolverine himself ages, leaving him with scars/memories of past battles. I don't know how old he's supposed to be, but they did show him in Prof X's younger days (~60 years?) looking exactly the same as he did in the 2000's - so i'm not sure if it adds up, but i can excuse that for a different styled, good film.

10 Points For Gryffindor

It seems logically funny -- Harry Potter is a wizard who sympathizes with Muggles and secretly positioned himself to be a suicide bomber.

Those who support magic are liberals and those Muggles who are anti-magic are right-wing. Harry Potter is portrayed as a right-wing extremist, which is a person who would bomb a magic school. Left-wing extremists, those who support the reverse extreme, would bomb a Muggle school. (Like Magneto's stance against non-mutants.)

I don't know why this is funny, but it makes me laugh.

German Channel ProSieben - Galileo featured Miroslaw Magola who promotes Telekinesis. Real Magneto, X- Men, Miroslaw Magola's telekinesis is achieved by projecting a portion of his consciousness in the object that he want to move.

Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku : THE FUTURE OF THE MIND: The scientific quest to understand, enhance, and empower the mind.” And his quest to promote: “Telepathy. Telekinesis. Mind reading. Photographing a dream. Uploading memories. Mentally controlled robots.”

Kaku claims all of “these feats” have already been achieved. “These feats, once considered science fiction, have now been achieved in the laboratory, as documented in THE FUTURE OF THE MIND,” Kaku’s website declares.

Kaku notes that his “book goes even further, analyzing when one day we might have a complete map of the brain, or a back up Brain 2.0, which may allow scientists to send consciousness throughout the universe.” Miroslaw Magola alias "Magnetic Man," ( Magnet Mann ) known form Stan Lee's Superhumans - MInd Force who allegedly exhibits telekinetic powers aired on History and Discovery Channel born in Poland and now living in Germany. He claims he can lift objects off the floor, transport them through the air and force them to stick to his body - all using the power of his mind .

He was investigated by Prof. Dr. Dr. Ruhenstroth-Bauer and Dr. Friedbert Karger of the Max Planck Institute and Dr. David Lewis (psychologist), a neurophysiologist at MindLab, one of the United Kingdom's leading neuro-research centers and Dr. Konstantin Korotkov, professor of Physics at St. Petersburg State Technical University in Russia and Alexander Imich from USA. Leech is an underrated mutant.

Just saying. Nothing to do with the video, just always thought a power-sapping power was cool. Like Magneto comes up all in your grill like he's all that and then is like AHHHHH NO PWERZ AHHHHH.

Magnet Screws Fasten Invisibly

renatojj says...

I wish there was something like a magneto-stent that women could have surgically inserted in their falopian tubes that would open or close with the help of an outside magnet like that.

So women would be able to choose whether they want to be fertile anytime they want.
