Cop Rear-Ends Motorcycle, Blames Rider

charliem says...

Nope. Anyone who rear-ends someone else, is ALWAYS at fault. Always.
You should leave enough room between you and the person in front that if they slam on their breaks, EVEN for something you dont see, you should have enough space to not hit them.

The cops in the wrong, end of story. You should never rear end someone if youre driving at the right distance.

The Punisher: Russian Bus Driver Deliberately Rams Cars

Fairbs says...

It's been a thing. My Grandpa was the victim (~1988) of someone that pulls in front of old people and claims they rear ended them taking advantage of old peoples deteriorating motor skills / reaction time. It's typically the person that rams into the other one that gets faulted for not leaving enough room. Fortunately, the Sheriff recognized the con artist and told him to beat it and let my Grandpa off with nothing (except a smashed up front end).

At the end of said sex tape after Hogan leaves the room, Bubba tells his wife "we can use this when we want to retire". There is no way he has any ground to stand on.

I, uh, heard it in the news? Yeah, that's it.

Hebron: border police officer kicks a palestinian child

vaire2ube says...

Bull fucking major shit, dude... what could the kid have been doing, except reacting to growing up in a situation where armed men are waiting to kick you? Maybe he was causing a little trouble, maybe some graffiti... so lets turn him into a suicide bomber and then take his parents land and claim to know nothing about the origin of the threat? Nothing about this scene is acceptable. Do you accept this behavior from a US soldier against any child?? Then why the military that we almost exclusively fund?

This is a systematic problem, and the Israeli's immediate "they'd do it to us" excuse that makes nearly everyone non-arab turn a blind eye, is quite reminiscent of the governmental situation which ultimately led to the creation of "their" state. You can't spell Nazi or Zionism without a "Z". Different means to the same end: Racial purity of the chosen people.

How fucking twisted and no one can say anything about the emperor being naked without being anti-Semitic, which is itself a misappropriated term which does not mean Jewish or Israeli but refers to language origins. Arabs are Semitic, too.

Pretty obvious letting people just make up rules based on no logic leaves no room for diplomacy. None. Why bother when you can shoot and kick your way to the promised land? The whole middle east should be a DMZ, no one there is doing anything with weapons defensively.

Biker Gets Arrested for Obstructed License Plate

renatojj says...

I'm not justifying what the officer did, he's totally wrong, but I'm guessing arguing with the cop and being confrontational is why the biker got arrested and treated so poorly. Which doesn't mean cops can arrest people for being disrespectful, like I said, I'm not justifying.

- The officer gets out of the car and he's yelling, "What? What??", wtf kind of ghetto way is that of greeting a cop motherfucker? Unless he's looking for trouble though, then ok it's the right way.

- "I have not committed any crimes and you can't take my personal property", it's not up to the biker to decide whether he committed a crime and yes the cop can seize your vehicle if he arrests you, so why dare the cop to do what he knows he can do? Oh look he ended up doing what the biker said he couldn't!

- The cop asks for papers and he's like "technically, you're not allowed to ask for my papers if I haven't committed a crime", again, the biker doesn't know if he committed a crime, and yes the cop is allowed to ask for papers if you're driving a vehicle, maybe you can argue later in court?

- The cop comes back and says the 3 magic words, "You're under arrest" on some bogus charge, just accept that you're under arrest, trying to talk the cop out of it while ignoring his orders = BAD IDEA.

- He's under arrest and keeps yapping and being uncooperative, pointing out it's a bogus charge doesn't help because he's trying to shame the cop into letting him go, he's not leaving any room for the cop to save face.

I know we all want cops to be perfect angels that can take a lot of shit and abuse from people on a daily basis and not react emotionally, but guess what, they're flawed human beings like the rest of us. You wouldn't greet a waitress with "What? What??" and expect good spit-free service, would you?

Toddler Thrown From The Back of Wild Steed

Something about seems fake. Just before leaving the room, the father tells her not to move. I don't know. In any event, it's pretty damn cute.

I gotta admit, the first time I saw this, I didn't think it was funny (my son is about this age). But along with only getting funnier ever time I see it, it also occurs to me that this level of skill in a toddler doesn't just happen by chance. I'd be willing to bet she worked her way up to it, and that there's a pillow or something just off-screen.

Or maybe not...

If those kids were being bullied, they wouldn't have been allowed to leave the room.

When someone is being bullied for real, they don't get to "opt out"

When someone is being bullied for real, they don't have grins on their faces as these kids do.

Question for experienced cat owners:
I love playing like this with kittens, especially encouraging them to bite me because I like how it tickles, and I find it cute how ineffectual it is. I've also heard that doing that trains cats to bite people whenever they play, a habit which they retain into adulthood and become those annoying cats that bite your guests. Is that really true, or is it just in the personality of the cat whether they'll bite as an adult?
Thanks!

I don't think it has anything to do with it. I have two twin cats, and both are total opposites. One seems to know that claws and teeth hurt, so when I play with her she keeps the claws tucked and doesn't bite hard if it's just my hand. If I dangle a string or some paper in front of her though, she'll shred the crap out of it. The other isn't into playing. If I dangle toys in front of her, she doesn't give a crap, but if I leave a toy mouse on the floor and leave the room, she'll go at it. If I come back in the room and she sees me, she stops playing and acts like nothing was going on.

They both like to sit in my lap. The one that seems to know claws hurt doesn't use her claws when she makes biscuits on my leg, but the other one really digs in and I have to put something on my lap.
