Yeah that's BS Forrest Gump had lots of happy scenes...it wasn't like Slumdog Millionaire where literally you just watch Shit fall from the sky on a person for TWO hours then he gets a DANCE SEQUENCE!

Although I appreciate your kind words, I disagree. There are many happy moments in that movie, this would be another one of them.

Spelling wrong on purpose was the charitable explanation. Kind of noble maybe - like you're "owning" your inability to spell by getting things so fantastically wrong that there's no other explanation. Like fat girls who wear skimpy clothes - effectively saying "I'm fat and I don't care what you think!". The other explanations for your bad spelling involve you being an idiot.
That's a false dichotomy (and a fantastically stupid argument, congrats!). Look, a guy saluting you might not do anything for you, but it's clearly a meaningful gesture for these people (and they're the ones whose opinion matters on this). To them, it's not shallow or retarded or whatever the hell else you said. And this guy isn't choosing between saluting them or paying their medical benefits. Society isn't choosing "hey, should we have veteran's hospitals - or should we, instead, send one guy out to salute some bikers".
I thought that would be pretty obvious. We were talking about people treating Vietnam vets poorly. I said that this fact was mentioned in a lot of pop culture. Then I asked whether you'd seen Forrest Gump. I don't think it would normally be necessary to spell out "Forrest Gump is an example of a movie featuring facts about the treatment of Vietnam vets". I think that's pretty clearly implied.
I'd say "I didn't clarify that because I didn't think you were a moron" but the fact is I did (and do!) think you're a moron. I'm just not in the habit of talking to morons and forgot the kinds of concessions I might need to make. Sorry.

Gr8 job there ignoring a comment and spending all your time telling sumone how to spell depsite the fact that what they write is enterly legible.
So, from this post, clearly you're spelling poorly on purpose - it's just your fantastically lame gimmick. Sad and stupid, but I guess I won't bother commenting on it further.
However, since you seem to want me to comment on the content of your post, I will.
Fair enough, you wouldn't want recognition. But that doesn't make it wrong (or not commendable even) for someone to give some recognition to people that really, really got screwed over. But I guess you didn't know that because...
...you've paid zero attention to history. The treatment of Vietnam war vets is not a well guarded secret. Even without any exposure to history, I'm surprised you haven't bumped into this in pop culture. I mean, didn't you watch, like "Forrest Gump"? Or was that movie just really, really confusing for you? Barring that particular movie, it just seems like this is the kind of fact you'd have to be actively avoiding. And if you're actively avoiding talk about history, world events, and politics, why do you comment on them so much?
I guess it's no wonder your opinions on all sorts of current events are a crazy mishmash, you're evaluating them without any context.

Wrong.

Did you read my comment I dont think you understood it , I was primerly saying people should give recognisoin through pragmatic and proactive efforts ( funding vetern suport , helping with PTSD and respecting people as you would respect annyone else) Not simple and mostly symbolic gestures such as what this guy is doing.
How would sumone not living in US know specifcaly about this parade other than what was presented in the video ? How in Anny way did my comment say that i sided with morons that are harassing and generally being negative to them ? You are making allot of assumptions in order to then be angry and attack my comment.
" didn't you watch, like "Forrest Gump"? Or was that movie just really, really confusing for you? "
Whats that about ? you do realize if you insult people they are less likely to bother to pay attention to you let alone listen to a point you might lagitimetly be making ?

Ever Notice Nathan Fillion in Saving Private Ryan?
Is that Tom 'Forrest Gump' Hanks?!
Ricky Gervais Trolls Tim Allen
>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
You know - quite frankly - I don't see why people think Tom Hanks is that great. I remember him when he first came on the scene in "Bosom Buddies". He was moderately amusing, but no more so than Peter Scolari was. He did some bit parts in Family Ties, and did that lousy D&D TV movie "Mazes & Monsters". He did nothing exceptional.
Then he went on to do crappy comedies like Money Pit, Dragnet, Bachelor Party, and Joe Vs. The Volcano. He wasn't very good in any of them. His acting in these shows was one-note. Swap Hanks in Splash with Hanks in Money Pit and there is no difference. He was servicable, but he wasn't that great.
But I think "Big" for some reason started making people think he was a good actor. In the 90s, studios were always trying to turn comedians into "serious" actors. Robin Williams tried it with Patch Adams and Good Morning Vietnam. Jim Carrey tried with "Truman Show", et al. With Hanks, it was A League of Thier Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Forest Gump, and Philadelphia. I see very little difference between "80's Hanks" and "90's Hanks". He isn't a better actor than he was way back in "Mazes & Monsters". He's still the same old one-note Tom Hanks. He just has a better movie. You could take a potted plant and stick it in Forest Gump and get the same result. Some of his performances like in Polar Express and Angels & Demons are cringe-worthy.
So I don't see why Tim Allen has to take the shot here. He's shown at least as much acting "ability" as Tom Hanks. Hanks just got lucky and happened to end up getting better roles and more credit than he deserves.
Forrest Gump may be a cliche now, but his performance in it was great. He was great in Philadelphia and The Green Mile as well. For pure strength of acting, I think you've got to go with Cast Away. Not many actors can carry a movie all by themselves with only a volleyball to interact with. If you want a role that really steps out of the norm, try The Ladykillers.
Hanks may not be one of those guys who completely transforms himself for a role, but I still think he's solid. Tim Allen has never acted, to my knowledge. He plays himself in all his roles.
Marshawn Lynch -- 67 yard TD run
not at all worth what he gets paid, but no athleet is worth what they get paid.. thats just opening a can of worms though.
The whole scene reminded me of Forrest Gump and his football scene where he runs right through the band.

100 cheesiest movie quotes of all time
There's a couple of quotes I really don't think are cheesy at all. Let's take the Forrest Gump example. The character has a very low IQ, so that whole "life is like a box of chocolates" quote fits very well with the character.
Edit: "I'm too old for this shit!" is cheesy?? wtf? the creator of this video obviously doesn't know the difference between cheesy and awesome.
