Air Force Pilots blow whistle on F-22 Raptor

Porksandwich says...

>> ^bareboards2:

The very first minute of this report says these planes have never been used in combat.
Why we are risking the lives of these pilots for a training plane? It is seriously nuts.
I think of it as penis waggling. Boys and their toys. Even the pilots said they were happy to fly again at first.
Who in the Pentagon is so invested in keeping these in the air and why? It isn't rational.

Dunno about penis waggling, politicians of all genders are generally of the mindset if we paid for something we should use it no matter how wasteful/dangerous/stupid it is.

That's why so many projects end up going over budgets and never working, because they are too "invested" either corruptly or politically to say enough is enough.

They need a bunch of kids getting cancer or born with birth defects (BP oil spill and all those non-harmful chemicals they dumped in the water *wink wink nudge nudge*), or a school being demolished by a plane falling out of the sky to give them the proof they need to not look like they screwed up in the first place and instead look like they gave it a chance but obviously the people advising them are fools...never the politician or people in charge.....never.

We're talking about the same people who generally promote family values and hetero relationships while they are heading to the restroom for a little rough and tumble with a random dude they just met or whatever other devious example you want to use. Bunch of corrupt mfers basically, who give no shits about you until it makes them look bad when they don't.

Payback says...

The problem I have with the "buried million dollars" story is that it's complete propaganda, utter flatuent bullshit.

Religion promises you the million dollars. Sure, even more...
...but it then says you need to pay everything you possibly can to get the coordinates, but you will receive them only after you die.

No church, NOT A ONE, allows you to believe without paying. Period. Every last one says if you don't pay, to don't get to Heaven(tm). It's win-win for the religion, they get the cash wether or not there is an afterlife, as well as if the allegeded afterlife doesn't work as they say.

Religion is based on humans, and humans are devious, disgusting, and delinquent. Churches are just ancient pyramid scams, allowed to fester and spew their vile lies only through fear and threat.

From Evangelicals paying for whores, or pedophilic Catholic priests, every religion shows its true colours. Religion is disgusting, and preys on the week-willed and the ignorant.

Started skipping around 30s, was trying to find out the message but it just.. keeps.. dragging... on....playing music.. showing small clips...and stupid editing. would declare as low quality and boring.

the message is quite clear to those who are aware of the constant and pervasive attempt to shackle us all in a cycle of manufactured desire/want.
it is ever-present and non-stop.
a devious and destructive machine that promises happiness but in reality just creates:insecurity, apprehension, unworthiness and divisiveness.

Choose someone as successor and you will inevitably be succeeded. Choose someone hungrier and you will be devoured. Choose someone quicker and you won't dodge the blade at your back. Choose someone with more patience and you won't block the blade at your throat. Choose someone more devious and you'll hold the blade that kills you. Choose someone more clever and you'll never know your end. Despite these cautions, an apprentice is essential. A Master without an apprentice is a Master of nothing.

Creationist "Explains" Olber's Paradox

dannym3141 says...

I love how they call scientists and subscribers to reason "followers of the big bang theory". Trying to paint scientific theory as a cult/religion, trying to bring them down to their level

So very manipulative, i love how devious it is. Such underhand tactics are the only evidence i need that they don't know what they're talking about... if they did, they wouldn't need to resort to tactical wordplay and spin. I guess religion is to science what politicians are to public service.

I'm not a big fan of your link in the comments though, it explains the paradox but not the solution when it's a fairly simple one. It comes down to a few things such as the universe is not infinitely old so there will be certain stars that are too far away for the light to have reached us yet (if it ever can), a star's lifetime is finite, stars (and we) are not fixed points, etc. For the paradox to make sense we'd need an infinite universe, infinitely old, that never moves and stars that are permanent fixtures.

DerHasisttot, I fear you've been totally consumed by two particularly devious and masochistic mental afflictions, counterproductive critical theory and cultural Marxism.
I have just read someone who honestly believes that a lowly bird is worth protection but would not lift a finger to defend human culture because "all cultures are equal and none is more worthwhile than another". Correspondingly, it does not matter if one of them disappears or if all of them disappear. Effectively, you believe in everything and nothing at the same time.
You are a destroyer of nations because you do not believe in nations.
My only advice is that you realize that we live in a world where Europeans are the ONLY people who are affected by these social ills. No other culture is masochistic, they are proud of themselves for who they are.. for better or for worse.
I can only hope that, through time and personal experience, you may come to realize that your own culture (and every culture) is worthy of conservation.
That's if it's still around you in old age.

You have not understood how I thoroughly deconstructed your premise. Cultures are inconservable. I never said that all cultures are equal. I said they are enhancing each other. The best things stay, the others fall away.

You are either a troll or an enormous, racist ideological (maybe even Nazi) -asshole whose life would be best spend scrubbing sewers so your brainfarts do not stink up the place. I will not respond to you anymore.

Wiki Leaks founder walks out from interview with CNN

chilaxe says...

@Gallowflak, the necessary sources were posted above by Dag. That Gawker article links to other articles, and we can see all their articles on Assange here: http://gawker.com/search/assange/

For example:

But if Mr. Assange is sustained by his sense of mission, faith is fading among his fellow conspirators. His mood was caught vividly in an exchange on Sept. 20 with another senior WikiLeaks figure. In an encrypted online chat, a transcript of which was passed to The Times, Mr. Assange was dismissive of his colleagues. He described them as “a confederacy of fools,” and asked his interlocutor, “Am I dealing with a complete retard?”

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/24/world/24assange.html?hp
And:
Sorry, Julian, but you were the one who spun your botched tryst with a couple Swedish groupies into a devious Pentagon "smear campaign." Until they produce their spy IDs or the case is closed, you're going to have to live with questions about it.

http://gawker.com/5671626/wikileaks-founder-will-walk-out-of-your-interview-if-asked-about-his-rape-case

In other words, when Assange falsely claimed the accusations were due to his professional work (i.e. the accusations originated from the Pentagon), they became a professional issue worthy of scrutiny by the press. On the other hand, if he were to admit he lied, perhaps that issue would become less worthy of scrutiny.

It doesn't seem reasonable to judge Assange as being above scrutiny without first reading the backstory. Thankfully, the journalist in this video was trying to do her job.

The Tea Party History for Dummies

Lawdeedaw says...

>> ^Throbbin:
Oh WInstonfield - gotta love the understated racism (man-child), the hyperbole (radicals), the blanket portrayals of Europeans as poverty-stricken communists (aren't they happier, healthier, and better educated than Americans?), and the rhetorical attacks on Obama (how's his polling these days? Isn't there majority support for Health Care reform? Isn't there still majority support for a Public Option?).
Talk about hardcore dyed-in-the-wool partisans and ideologues eh?>> ^Winstonfield_Pennypacker:
I think ridicule is the best way to destroy nonsensical groups like the Tea Party
Ah yes. A page right out of the Man Child's favorite neolib catechism, "Rules for Radicals".
It is hard to tell if the neolib left is being incredibly devious or incredibly stupid when it comes to the Tea Party. The TP is just a large group of regular folks who believe that the largest obstacle to American prosperity is America's own government. And they have a solid point. Big Government, Big Labor, Big Pensions have castrated the European economy for decades. Even Britain has come to realize that it can't keep the gravy train rolling. But at the time Europe is pulling back on leftist economics, the Man-Child and the neolib left are desperately trying to double-down on it. And the vast majority of the American public don't like it and don't want it.
Poll after poll shows that the neolib agenda is rejected wholesale by all but the most leftist, dyed-in-the-wool groups of hardcore Democrats. The agenda is totally out of step with the public. The Tea Party is nothing more than a group of people who protest the neolib left's advancement of their unpopular agenda against the will of the people. It's that simple.
And the neolibs know all too well they are on the losing side of the vote. The data is clear as a bell. The more they push their radicalism, the more the people object. And so comes the sideshow & circus of accusing the TP of racism, and all the other Rules for Radicals tactics that the Man-Child learned at teats of his communist & totalitarian mentors.
But - like GWB - when you try to advance an agenda against the will of the people then you WILL lose. I still have faith in that. Bush pushed Iraq when the people didn't understand it and didn't like it. He lost the PR war, and then Congress. Obama is pushing radical leftist policy when the people don't like it. He is losing the PR war, and then he'll lose Congress. And then he'll get tossed out of office. Hopefully someone with Tea Party mentality replaces him and undoes everything the Man-Child accomplished. Nothing would make America happier than to repeal every law passed by this out of step, radical congress of neolib idiots.

Hey Throbin, the funny part, we two did not have at it. In fact I was speaking to everyone. But while you and Winston have at it, have fun.
