The way "I am Legend" was supposed to end
This isn't how it was supposed to end AT ALL. If you read the book, you'll know how it was supposed to end.
The movie, other than the basic premise and the main character's name, was completely made up and fabricated for this movie. It wasn't a bad movie if you have no idea how Richard Matheson originally told the story, but the Omega Man with Charlton Heston was a more accurate movie that this thing and even that was way off the mark.
McCain Ad - The One
Barack Obama's campaign responded sharply to a new McCain webad depicting Obama as a parody of a biblical prophet.
"It’s downright sad that on a day when we learned that 51,000 Americans lost their jobs, a candidate for the presidency is spending all of his time and the powerful platform he has on these sorts of juvenile antics," said spokesman Hari Sevugan. "Senator McCain can keep telling everyone how ‘proud’ he is of these political stunts which even his Republican friends and advisors have called ‘childish’, but Barack Obama will continue talking about his plan to jumpstart our economy by giving working families $1,000 of immediate relief."
The ad, released only on the Internet, is the latest in a series mocking the Democratic nominee.
"It should be known that in 2008 the world shall be blessed," begins the ad's deep-voiced narrator. Later, Obama emerges Godlike from the clouds.
The ad quotes Obama in both serious riffs telling a crowd "we are the ones we've been waiting for"; and in a sarcastic one, joking to an audience, "You will experience an epiphany and you will say to yourself, 'I have to vote for Barack.'"
The ad then shows Obama expressing his hope that America will look back at the 2008 election as the beginning of the end of global warming. The ad then cuts to an image a Charlton Heston, as Moses, parting the Red Sea, before concluding:
"Barack Obama may be The One, but is he ready to lead?"
Obama's campaign responded to McCain's webad after sending out a separate statement from Newark Mayor Cory Booker, whom McCain had praised in a speech at the Urban League today.
"In yet another dishonest attack at the Urban League, Senator McCain misled the American people about Senator Obama's record and his own," Booker, an Obama supporter, said, praising Obama's support for charter schools in Illinois, and attacking McCain's opposition to spending on a range of education programs.
"With that kind of track record, Senator McCain should be the last person lecturing Senator Obama about a commitment to quality education for our nation's children," he said.

It's all water near a bridge. I just thought it was funny. And apples will be edgy someday. The same way Charlton Heston made soilent green edgy.

OK, I'm one of the downvoters. It was iresistible to buck the trend. Busted. Just tryin' to make apples edgy.

Well apparently eating apples isn't the popular thing to do.
Cross Posting to Sift Talk (Sift Talk Post)
Yes, I also saw the trend. I think the following posts shouldn't have been cross-posted last weeks. Ok, some of these have more actuality value but our current sift talk is indeed using the "Newest Channel Talk Posts" to highlight these..maybe this needs to be improved somehow? I'd be in favour of having more forum categories on the main page..

I Have Only Five Words For You
Having a gun is like having a buzzsaw in your kitchen, a poor idea at best. Any accidents involving guns stem from... having a gun. That's a bunch of fatalities you can stop right there. As far as I know, there's no statistical evidence connecting gun access and crime rates, as such, but gun access and gun injuries/killings are certainly linked.
If I have something genuinely bad to say about someone, even if they're dead, I'll damn well say it, and I will thank anyone to accept my right to do it. (case in point) That being said, I have no particular grievance with Charlton Heston; he was a fine actor and had a poor idea about guns. Everyone has flaws.
I Have Only Five Words For You
^no what's bullshit is the amount of rain forest that has been cut down to provide soapboxes for this Charlton Heston suck-off. Many didn't give a damn about him until he died, then they wanted to jump on the same "mourning bandwagon" that Heath Ledger's death lead. And then comes the dickheads (like me) that always say "good riddance" or "I'm glad he's dead". Cue all of those that are looking for something to feel to grab a hold of their neighbor's member and beat each other off in some sick ritualistic lachrymal circle jerk and strike down those that accost their flavor of the week.
Many of you would prefer to insult an alive person behind their back than to crawl out of your superstition-proof armor and say what you'd like about the dead. Hell, even if it's got nothing to do with anything who cares? The more of this drivel I read, the more I really do dislike Charlton Heston and Ben Hur, specifically.

Bullshit hon

@everybody: What? So now I'm supposed to be held accountable for speaking out of my ass??? I didn't see that in the FAQ, I think it should be posted.
In all fairness, I have nothing against Charlton Heston, I just felt exceptionally froward this morning and decided to pick on somebody who, even if people didn't love, could respect.
