Remote Control Rat
Excellent point, Fletch.
Dr. Jose M. R. Delgado used this same technique in 1965 (seriously) to direct a bull away from charging at him. A considerably more dynamic demonstration, if you ask me.

I have a lot of respect for Pierce, Tailor of Panama was great, and Krupo's right the Matador was *AWESOME*. His turns as Bond were probably my least favorite roles for him, but the whole franchise has been pretty stale for a LONG time- I don't blame him for the boring films. Roger Moore made at least one good Bond movie- For Your Eyes Only, and he had a great career before Bond.
As for the new guy, well, we'll see this fall. Hopefully the series will become more character-focussed, there will be less of a focus on BS gadgetry, and the plots will be a bit more plausible. Bond is a very intriguing character, and he's a really cold, almost sociopathic SOB. Maybe this movie will bring those aspects to the forefront again? Hopefully.

The Matador was an *AWESOME* movie.
IMHO the Bond flicks had become a big huge self-parody - perhaps this'll make it sufficiently hardcore to be interesting again.
