I was diggin' this song today, and immediatly thought you might enjoy it. I think it somehow reminded me of that shot tower song.
Upcoming Sift Interview: Pomplamoose (Music Talk Post)
>> ^Deano:
I haven't heard of them but isn't it odd to pose with cereal? I bet they're kooky.
The cereal seems to be a running gag: http://www.videosift.com/video/September-Earth-Wind-Fire-cover
Oh, and I just realized I had one more question:
6. Are they familiar with Lasse Gjertsen? Is the video editing inspired by him? They seem to use some of the same techniques as in i.e. Amateur and Hyperactive.
Amateur - Lasse Gjertsen. Brilliant Editing.
>> ^Spoon_Gouge:
Love the bit at the end stating he can niether play the drums nor the piano!
...but he sure can play "the edit" and "the awesome!"
Stop Motion Music
This is a dupe anyway:

>> ^Pushkill:
is this the child of Richard D. James?
You're right. The stuff that Lasse Gjertsen guy does on the drums is really cool and original but this sounds EXACTLY like a good Aphex Twin song.
Faen!
Tags for this video have been changed from 'Lasse Gjertsen, Faen, fuck' to 'Lasse Gjertsen, Faen, fuck, sweden, norway, finland, lol' - edited by Zonbie
Narcoleptic Cat
You're right arvana - it is funnier with each play back. neuralnoise and lucky have the right idea - this needs to be looped for a bass drum sample. Maybe someone will get a whole collection of these and mix 'em like Lars Gjertsen.
Toccata and Fugue in D Minor on a Bottle Organ
The idea is good, sort of like what's his face, Lasse Gjertsen, and his piano, but the execution is not good. Get in tune or else... I'll smolder quietly with absolutely no consequence to you. Grrr...
100 people drum in order of age
99 was awesome and seemed healthy. I wouldn't mind being that old in that state. The video was kind of lame though. They could have cut it in a way that you'd actually get a flow of music (like this video) and instead of calling their age, just a number?
Unbelievable Stop Motion Drums and Piano

Stop Motion drums and piano
Sorry buddy, this is a dupe:

the spirits I have called
This is a similar idea with nicer musical results. Getting random people to supply the notes is a nice touch though.

Making Playlist Suggestions (Sift Talk Post)
Thanks for the work and suggestion Lucky...Unfortunately, the suggested link doesn't work (directs to
/playlist/benjee/video/what-its-like-on-LSD-Lasse-Gjertsen
instead of/video/what-its-like-on-LSD-Lasse-Gjertsen
). I guess it's using a relative rather than a uniform link; as it points to the video it thinks is in my own playlist. Or you've typed the address in wrong?I don't see any problem in showing suggestions to all users...In fact, I think it could be useful in case a few users suggest the same Sift (or does it check for a unique URL when suggesting?)
