Clearly you have shit for brains.
Tesla grows at 45%+ YoY
ICE manufacturers have been falling about 7% YoY in growth since late 2017.

You shit for brain takling points:
losing major market share -- ARE you on acid?

FACT they lowered prices 6 times -- thats true. -- Go find why.

FACT that now that they have competition,------ Where in your dreams.Ford GM VW ?? Not even close. by what measure are you using? The bolt is possible but it keeps catching on fire. BYD is the closest.

FACT that I called the crash before it happened -- Lets claim Bull shit. The market is tanking -- Yet to you Biden economy is on fire doing great .. Which is it nutboy?

Truth is, yet again you dont know what you are talking about.

newtboy said:

LOL. So I made a point to you, there is no one so uninformed. Nor is there another so devoid of knowledge and facts than yourself.

It’s a FACT they are still losing major market share at rates other car companies aren’t.
It’s a FACT they lowered prices 6 times now, and continue to drop in sales.
It’s a FACT that now that they have competition, they aren’t in demand and don’t hold their value like the competition does.
It’s a FACT that I called the crash before it happened while you were telling people to buy all in at over $400 per share, and I continued to warn it was insanely overpriced and a bubble waiting to pop….I was 100% correct. Economists expect it to continue to fall, Forbes indicates it may well be headed for $25 a share, definitely still falling.

I must follow Tesla better than you, because my predictions have come to pass and yours were all fantasy that never materialized. I think you listen to Elon, who has proven to be a total disastrous idiot who’s destroyed his own companies, not the tech genius he once appeared to be.
You simply cannot ever admit you were w-w-w-w-wrong. A sign of massive insecurity.

Um…operating margin dropped FROM 19% to 11%. Operating capitol dropped even more. Price drops aren’t improving slumped sales. Massive recalls are not only making customers unhappy, they are turning off new customers. Poor construction is not up to industry standards and new non Teslas are. Drivers assist has just been convicted on a $3 million injury/damage claim (with more in the pipeline while other companies roll out theirs.
Worst of all is Elon himself, who decided to become a public personality figure, exposing his far right politics to his left leaning customer base, his willingness to take any government handout while decrying them at every turn, his unbelievably bad business sense, his douchbaggyness and constant hypocrisy, and his penchant to pretend his best case scenario is a guaranteed future. He, more than any two factors combined, is responsible for the slump in sales and crash of Tesla and Twitter.

You blame the 2020 economy, but every other ev manufacturer is doing much better. You say they made 420000 cars q1 23…maybe true, but what good are they when they only sold 181,000. Making all those poorly constructed cars comes at a major loss. Derp.

Tesla is Crushing GM & Ford Financially

newtboy says...

So, they’re only $6 billion in the hole and are just getting competition from the big 3.
Where’s that Tesla truck?
Stock/corporate value dropped by over half in the last year.

Tesla is under multiple criminal investigations for self driving autopilot failures causing deaths….a main selling point that may be outlawed soon.

Tesla made more profit because they reinvested much less….multiple billions less. Not a good sign in an industry based on engineering advancements. Sounds like they know a hammer is coming and are going for maximizing short term profit at the expense of long term viability.
Their massive capitol expenditures were largely losses at their plants they can’t get to profitable production levels yet, like China, not building more gigafactories. If the highly automated factories (explaining the higher profit per employee despite fewer vehicles produced per employee) you have can’t get parts to make cars, making more factories would be stupid. GM and Ford are building newer highly automated factories, and have cut in line at Chinese chip manufacturers because they order more chips. Supply shortages continue to plague Tesla.

Sorry, Bob, your track record of investment advice is horrendous. You said go all in on Tesla at $400! You said buy more and hold onto it for the long term as it plunged to 135 and as you were selling yours. Now you claim Tesla is crushing GM and Ford while it’s still DEEP in debt and losing customers and not reinvesting in itself. Couldn’t be you’re lying for personal gain….could it?

If memory serves me correct that was back a decade ago and they paid it back. FYI Ford and or GM also took the cheese , about 11 billion.. They did not pay it back.

Hand out are wrong --- Just like the Inflation deduction act -- Just gov cheese buying votes / keeping .. Also it does not reduce inflation - opposite

I wonder….are you aware that to stay afloat, Tesla has taken $3 BILLION in government EV manufacturing handouts (subsidies and free loans)…so you owe most of what you made with Tesla stock to Obama. Just an fyi.

Why GM Says Its Ultium Batteries Will Lead To EV Dominance

spawnflagger says...

I think Tesla does some innovative stuff - like using the worlds largest metallic moulds (built by some Italian company if I recall, which make those exclusively for Tesla). But ultimately Elon is a "hype man", and most of his promises have fallen flat (check out Thunderf00t's youtube channel - he debunks many scammy startups as well as Elon's claims, using high school chemistry and physics).

I do applaud Tesla for opening additional factories in Germany and China so quickly, but exponential growth (for any EV maker) is impossible - there's simply not enough easy-to-mine lithium in the world. (Maybe Elon is planning to mine some asteroids instead of going to Mars? who knows)

The GM battery tech isn't exciting or sexy, but it is a means to building a more affordable EV. Ford is already shipping F-150 Lightning (assuming its not affected by the same contactor recall as the Mach-E). Rivian has been (slowly) shipping trucks.
Where's the CyberTruck? I bet even the electric Silverado will start shipping before the CyberTruck.

Why GM Says Its Ultium Batteries Will Lead To EV Dominance

bobknight33 says...

Mary Barra GM CEO. Her job is to "say" they are the leader, even when they a are not and wont be. Don't believe her.

There are few YouTube channels to watch on EVs. Sandy Munro is 1 of them.

Ford and GM are the Blackberry of their day.
They may make it through the decade but will be insignificant in the market.

Do you think CNBC would positive spin GM because of all the advertising they do? Would they be 100% honest?

Tesla’s TOTAL DOMINATION (new data)

bobknight33 says...

Competition? Seriously what competition is there?

2 things are clear
Clearly your anti Tesla.
Clearly you truly dont know much about the EV market.

Tesla is dominating the EV space.
Tesla has 8 quarters of growth.
Growing roughly 20% per quarter and about 70% YoY
2021 seen 84% growth in car sales.
Demand is a 6 month wait.
Tesla has sold 930K vehicles in 2021.
2022 Fremont and shanghai will make 1.2Mvehicles alone.
Giga TX and Berlin coming on line soon should add 500K vehicles.

Ford / GM do not have the capitol to make EV and ICE.
Layers of management and union demands will keep from a rapid necessary to EV.
Ford / GM have each have over 100 Billion in debt
Factory closing and chip shortages causing more Ford /GM losses
Ford / GM probably go under unless bailed out.
Ford/ Gm lost sales and Tesla grew sales.

Toyota also dragging their feet.
VW is the only company seems to be moving to EV in a substantial manor.

As you say high demand / low supply is some how bad. This is good place to be. Its a supply issue . Tesla is addressing that.

Saying Tesla doesn't pay taxes. false argument. Every company pays their taxes. If you don't like the amount then that's a government tax policy issue.

FSD is still in beta form. It is not a final product. It is pretty fuckign good as is.

Elon being pro corporate anti tax is what you would expect.
Im sure Apple, Facebook, Google are all in this same camp.
Far right? I dont know about that.

newtboy said:

So, time to end the subsidies and tax breaks for Tesla then. No more government handouts for them.

They’re not going to be so dominant when actual competition is available, coming soon from every maker. (High demand, low inventory, double sticker price gas cars aren’t a fair comparison.).
They also wouldn’t be so profitable if they paid taxes.

It was not a good move to program the self driving unit to run stop signs. (Yes, they programmed it to just “rolling stop” at stop signs recently which is not just illegal it’s also dangerous.). That’s the kind of upgrade you get with Tesla, without warning. How many recalls now?

Also not a good move for Elon to admit he’s far right, pro corporate subsidy, anti tax. It alienates most of his customers.

Tesla Gigafactory Austin 4K Day 500 - 12/4/21 -

bobknight33 says...

Tesla should put out about 940K vehicles this year. Last year run was 480K cars.

With Giga Texas and Berlin coming online this year (hopefully 5 K).
Next year 2022 looking to see 1.6 + Million vehicle and 2023 close to 3 Million.

The ICE age is ending.
Ford, GM, VW, Toyota will be left in foot note of history this decade.

Cathie Wood 1700% Tesla & EV Growth WRECKS Legacy Auto

JiggaJonson says...

Don't get me wrong, I want all electric vehicles on our roads; but your lord and savior made it harder to buy Teslas https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml by allowing the tax credit to expire during his term

"Tesla vehicles purchased after 12/31/2019 are not eligible for these tax credits."

Hmmm who was president in 2019? Dunno. Dems are working on a plan to restore the credit to Tesla and GM, but I assume it'll be killed by McConnel and Manchin

Even WITH the tax credit, it's a hard buy for most of us. I just finished paying off my first new car @ about $25k, but I DO make trips longer than 250 miles in a day somewhat regularly. So even the $40k model wouldn't do for me. $52,000 is simply out of my price range. Shit, even 40k is too much for me. SHIT even 35k is too much for a person without a car payment as of a few months ago. No thanks.

I'm gonna ride this car until the wheels fall off, I get 43mpg and I'm satisfied with that.

Tesla stock meanwhile seems to vary wildly. Go get some boring mutual funds brother. Easy come easy go, they say.
