Story Of The Bass

SquidCap says...

Funny to see Roger Waters included in there. The man is pretty poor musician, he admits it freely. In Pink Floyd you had mediocre drummer, barely capable bass player, genius guitarist and great keyboard player. What makes Waters great is his song writing, not the musicianship.

Royal BLood

Yeah OK first part needed sarcasm tags - I loved the track Elite Dangerous used for it's trailer and have become a fan of the band since hearing it.

Wanting them announced for Rock-am-ring is kinda a personnel thing but at the moment I'm highly tempted to drive through 4 countries and cross a sea to go to that festival and Royal Blood's announcement would make it way more of necessity than a vague goal.

As for pointing out it's a two piece? The last good two piece I can remember is the White Stripes and of that two the drummer could arguably not drum very well.

Nothing brings pride quite like being from a small town and having it produce an NFL QB (for my fav team no less) and a viral video star that ends up on my fav site.

There are too many good ones. This is one of my favorites, but generally I tend to gravitate toward ones where Stewart Copeland gets to show off. Any other drummer and The Police would have been a very different band.

Though they got slagged by some for being too mainstream/popular, I'd easily take them over what fills that role nowadays.

Awesome! Man in a suitcase and Canary in a coal mine have always been my favorite Police songs.

The Police were one of my favorite concerts id ever been to (1983)
By far the most i'd ever danced at a concert.

-edit-
Take that back so many other Police songs i love just as much.

Devo - What We Do (Official Music Video)

Grimm says...

Founding member Bob 2 (Bob Casale) died a couple of weeks ago. He played rhythm guitar and keyboards. Their original drummer (Alan Myers) died last year. But he hadn't played with the band in over 20 years.

Didn't their guitarist just die earlier this year?
