I'd like to personally thank kp for the great conversations, the numerous laughs and all of the cool vids you've turned me onto. You are one hell of a dude, dude.
Since KP doesn't seem to need any help pimping his vids, and because I hate typing all that =href@#$ bs, I'd like to take this opportunity to discuss a grave injustice here on the sift: No Star Powers for Silver Diamonds.
The admin has really dropped the ball here. They are basically saying FU to kp and other top users on VS, and for that I wish 1,000,000,000 plagues to fall upon them, their families and their descendants for all of eternity and beyond.
So, I've taken the liberty of cobbling together some ideas for potential Silver Diamond Star Powers. Please feel free to add your own.
Potential Silver Diamond Star Powers:
*Ability to self-link
*Ability to post porn and snuff.
*Ability to self-link your own porn and snuff.
*Unlimited queue slots on nights and weekends.
*Conjugal visits with siftbot.
*International diplomatic immunity.
*Ability to use the *undead invocation to summon uhohzombies.
*Ability to create own faction. (blankfist approval required)
*Gets to see Choggie naked.
Might I also suggest a Gold Diamond, whose sole star power would be *all encompassing power over every living being.
some extraordinary people have frequented this site and shared their profound insights, revealed new perspectives and new ways of thinking, engaged in some glorious arguments and even a few all out brawls, but always with a humanity that most other sites lack.many of us have fostered real and genuine friendships.
on october 3rd videosift lost one if it's pioneer members who helped foster this amazing and very human atmosphere and i am here to sadly report that our own rascal cat schmawy Everett is no longer with us.
schmawy shall be greatly missed, for his brilliant wit,his disarming charm and an ability to bring a sly sense of humor to the most volatile of situations.
for those who may never had gotten the opportunity to interact with schmawy, you missed out on one the most human people i had ever the privilege to engage, for those who did know schmawy...well..then you know his soft ease and comfortable charm which would make him instantly likeable.
so if you would like to leave a memory here of your encounter with the human formerly known as schmawy.please..by all means..leave a comment.or if you are a facebook friend with him,go to his page:https://www.facebook.com/schmawy
so while the world is less bright today,
here is to you schmawy evereet.../tips glass
shine on you crazy diamond.

I've been saying it myself for a while, but I came across this article on the NY Times today, about a professor of economics from George Mason University making an argument why Libertarians should rally behind Obama.
He puts it more succintly than I have, but I think it's worth a read for those Libertarians out there.
I know that berries have seeds and when eaten by animals and shit out elsewhere, will grow new plants, but why would a plant take so much from itself to produce fruit instead of say, pollen or something like the oak seeds?
This isn't supposed to be a banana argument to try and prove the existence of God or anything, but I'm just curious to see what people have to say.
"The U.S. should stop arresting responsible marijuana users, Rep. Barney Frank said Wednesday, announcing a proposal to end federal penalties for Americans carrying fewer than 100 grams, almost a quarter-pound, of the substance.
Current laws targeting marijuana users place undue burdens on law enforcement resources, punish ill Americans whose doctors have prescribed the substance and unfairly affect African-Americans, said Frank, flanked by legislators and representatives from advocacy groups.
"The vast amount of human activity ought to be none of the government's business," Frank said on Capitol Hill. "I don't think it is the government's business to tell you how to spend your leisure time.""
What say you, fellow sifters? Are you for or against decriminalization? Why?
This first one is iconic - Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here." So many ways to interpret it, and when you listen to the album you discover even more. Brilliant.
Another iconic image - "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. What can I say about this picture that hasn't already been said? Her name is Dolores Erickson, by the way.
Green Day - "American Idiot" A powerful statement about American militarism in the 21st century. I'm sure the use of black and red is no accident.
Now let's see some of yours.
Good gawd, are they on Jay Leno's payroll?
Two United States Senators implicated in extramarital sexual activity have named themselves as co-sponsors of S. J. RES. 43, dubbed the Marriage Protection Amendment. If ratified, the bill would amend the United States Constitution to state that marriage "shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman."
Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID), who was arrested June 11, 2007 on charges of lewd conduct in a Minneapolis airport terminal, is co-sponsoring the amendment along with Sen. David Vitter (R-LA).
Craig, who entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct, was detained and charged for attempting to engage in sexual activity with a male undercover police officer. His arrest and plea became public two months later. At that time, Craig attempted to withdraw his plea and enter a new plea of not guilty. To date, his efforts have been denied by the courts.
In July of 2007, Vitter was identified as a client of a prostitution firm owned by the late Deborah Jeane Palfrey, commonly known as The DC Madam.
With a Democratic controlled Congress it is unlikely the bill will be brought up for a vote in either the Senate or House of Representatives.
A voice mail left for Craig spokesperson Susan Irby went unreturned. Attempts to contact Vitter's press secretary Joel DiGrado were unsuccessful.
FAQ neither discourages or encourages users with the ability, not to avail themselves of the power to discard posts they know have not a chance making it to the front page-I do it all the time with crap from probies, that get 1 or 2 down votes, and is left to assault sensibilities in the queue till its auto-discarded-
This post to advocate that this be done more often-the folks who post them perhaps might see that at least 2 other users thought it inappropriate, and take the initiative to dump it themselves.....I love to discard crap. Give it a try, you might enjoy it as well.......
Infantile, base, crude or sick, it doesn 't take much for me, others may indulge or suffer it, I care not to.....
But like this: We've seen the "what's your screen name mean" thread and the "what's your avatar" thread.
The idea here is to get to know the people behind those names and avatars. I think it would be cool for members to write a short paragraph about themselves - where they live, what they do(for a living), and what they do for fun.
So come one, come all, and share those stories!
