US military unveils non-lethal heat ray

The US military unveiled a non-lethal electromagnetic heat ray beam that can deter protesters alike without causing permanent harm. The shooting range is up to a kilometer. Once it hits the target, the 95 Ghz ray only penetrates 1/64 of an inch of the skin so no real damage is done; in contrast the 2.45 Ghz microwave oven waves penetrate much deeper and can cook meat. -yt
