Sloan - Money City Maniacs

Money City Maniacs was the first release from Sloan's 1998 album Navy Blues. The song begins with a repeated siren, followed with a series of power chords which form the basis of the introduction, verses and chorus. The song's chorus describes a practical joke wherein a friend's body is covered in Coke fizz.

The song is known for its use in Labatt's television commercials in Canada in the late 1990's.

The music video consists of the band playing instruments with intermittent freeze frames and faux-red colorization.

A soundalike version of the song's main riff is used in many commercials for Future Shop, a major Canadian electronics retailer.
