Since I moved to Denmark I've been trying to familiarize myself more with Scandinavian culture. I've been watching some Scandinavian movies and 101 Reykjavik was a pleasant surprise. The movie is centered around an unemployed slacker named Hlynur. His isolated life of internet porn, drinking binges and collecting welfare is interrupted when a seductive flamenco dancer named Lola comes to stay with him and his mother. Lola and Hlynur's mother fall in love, but to make things even more complicated, Lola sleeps with Hlynur after a night of heavy drinking while his mother is out of town. This clip is a mash up of some of the highlights from the movie. The movie covers some really serious issues, but there are also plenty of hilarious moments. Definitely worth watching if you can find it.
