Painting 3D Goldfish In Liquid Resin

Amazing Singaporean artist Keng Lye, whom we feature with his amazing paintings of sea creatures is back with more of his realistic 3d paintings of fish and aquatic wildlife. Keng Lye’s technique is brilliant and a bit of trickery. He creates the illusion that what we think is a bowl with real ranchu, siamese fish and turtle.

He starts creating this amazing artwork by pouring layers of clear resin and painting on it. The 3D effect is enhanced by adding bulge to make it look as the turtle’s wet shell is emerging out of the water. On his new painting he even gave the Siamese fish a side view as well. His painting is so awesome you can’t tell if it’s the real thing or just an artwork
