Never tell a rich plane buyer that the plane can't stall (Icon A5)--because he will hear that as "the plane can't crash".
This is an Icon A5 seaplane (light sport plane "LSA"; no full pilot's license required to own it or fly it) taking off from a lake in Michigan last week with two aboard---he uses a circular take off, which, in certain seaplane circles, in certain circumstances would make sense (though, not necessarily here).
And it mushes into the trees at about 100 feet, wallowing in a near stall.
No one is dead, passenger is in the hospital.
This is the 5th accident this year for the sold-as-it-can't-stall Icon A5. Roy Holliday's widow just eulogized him at the Baseball Hall of Fame induction---he crashed his Icon A5 about 2 years ago with 4-5 substances aboard...
