From Wikipedia: Our Velocity will be the first single from Our Earthly Pleasures, the second album from the band, Maxïmo Park. The single will be released two weeks prior to the release of the album, on March 19, 2007

The song, according to singer Paul Smith, was inspired by a piece of art by Belfast artist Matthew Logan, of a twisting motorway.

The Video of the song features the band being multiplied in a white room while playing the song. Nima Nourizadeh was the director of the video.
