Luke confronts Vader (The Empire Strikes Back)

In my opinion, the finest dueling scenes of the two trilogies. The fighting here isn't spectacular and swiftly choreographed, it's raw, desperate and brutal. Vader clearly outclasses his young opponent, but he exploits this advantage to goad Luke into pushing beyond his limit. Finally attempting to break his will with the infamous revelation...

(For the purists: this compilation has the final fall clipped, to escape the 'Emperor scream'. An edit to the Special Editions which many felt weakened the resolve of Lukes' character. It was widely felt that as he had accepted his fate, he would not have cried out in fear.)
