Jupiter rises over the Moon

The view through a 20cm telescope as the Earth's moon covers Jupiter, and then Jupiter re-emerges from the other side. Video shown at 5x actual speed.

Look closely to see Jupiter's moon Io appear over the moon just before Jupiter rises. Look even closer to see Io's shadow cast on Jupiter. The detail is amazing. See http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2012/12/29/christmas_day_occultation_video_of_the_moon_passing_in_front_of_jupiter.html for more description.
