Howlin' Wolf - Killing Floor | 1970

At 6 feet, 6 inches and close to 300 pounds, Howlin' Wolf or Chester Arthur Burnett, was an imposing presence with one of the loudest and most memorable voices of all the classic 1950s Chicago blues singers. His voice has been compared to "the sound of heavy machinery operating on a gravel road." An entertainer in the purest sense. Watch him perform here at the First Washington Blues Festival, in 1970.
