Goodfellas: The Famous Club Scene

Scorsese has us follow Henry and Karen as they enter the Copacabana from the back entrance, weave through the kitchen, and secure a table at the front of the club. The camera does not cut away once during this ambitious three minute take. The final result took eight attempts. Interestingly, the scene came about largely by accident.

From the wiki entry:
"The long tracking shot through the Copacabana nightclub came about because of a practical problem - the filmmakers could not get permission to go in the short way and this forced them to go round the back."
