Fantail Pigeons

I'm reading a really cool book about pigeons right now and I thought I'd look around for some cool ones.

I was surprised to learn that pigeons like this are only a few generations removed from the ones you see every day on the street.

They display variances and adaptations so quickly that just 4 or five generations can create a seemingly different bird. Although it's believed that they're all descended (even homing pigeons and the like) from the same common ancestor: Columba Livia, the common rock pigeon/dove.
