Eryx missile reportage, by two soldiers who became KIA

An interesting short by the Canadian Forces' Army News on the Eryx missile. More engaging, however, and poignant, is that both the NCO being interviewed (Christos Karigiannis) and the one doing the reporting (Darrell Priede) were coincidentally killed in Afghanistan within a few months of each other this past summer. At first I thought it was just the one, then was a little stunned to realize that I recognized the reporter's picture from the news coverage when he too died.

Karigiannis, who was promoted to Sergeant before his death, has ended up as one of Canada's better-known casualties in Afghanistan since our national newsmagazine did a story on him a couple months before his passing. Below is the link to the article that the same magazine (Maclean's) published about him after he had met his end, and another to a list of Canada's fallen.

Requiscat in Pace.
