Cum On Feel The Noize - classic Slade covered by Quiet Riot

Quiet Riot launched themselves into stardom in 1983 by covering this 1973 Slade hit, "Cum On Feel The Noize". It features a teenage boy in his bedroom facing off against the overpowering might of Quiet Riot's song blasting from his stereo. The music eventually overpowers him (and his room), and he finds himself at a concert featuring men with long hair wearing tight leather and spandex pants. In then end it all turns out to be a dream.

Lead Singer Kevin Du Brow went on to make many enemies in the press and music biz by constantly harping on and on about how much the metal scene owed it's success to Quiet Riot. The biggest irony of that being that Quiet Riots biggest singles were both Slade covers. So Really, the US 80s hair metal scene owed more to Slade, a UK band that never fared well in the US, than it did to Quiet Riot.
