Computer programmer and Democrat Clinton Curtis testifies that he was asked in 2000 to write a program that would make it possible to undetectably change the result of an election. The case is unresolved, and Curtis is obviously a partisan, so make of this what you want. The Wikipedia article on Curtis has more information.
