COMMERCY MADELEINE

I just received a package from France! Containing a few of my favorite famous French cakes called Madeleines. So here is a video to celebrate my luck if you ever have the chance give them a try. ;)

Also a little back story the palace they are standing in front of is in Commercy which is now the home of the Mayors office which when I was in France was able to visit. It once belonged to the King of Poland Stanisław Leszczyński who was the father in law of Louis XV of France. The legend is the cakes get there name from King Louis. When visiting Stinislaw he tasted one of the cakes and gave them the name after the cook who made them.
