After finally releasing the scrapped album known to fans as "Fight Off Your Demons" via cassette tape and digital download entitled "Leaked Demos 2006," many fans were hoping to hear this song in particular. Once known as "the Morrissey song" due to the style of singing, where Jesse Lacey emulates the famous troubadour's crooning baritone delivery, 1996 was teased to a few fans during the band's warmup/sound check one time, but until the other night they had yet to actually play it during their set, as far as I'm aware.

Anyway, a new wave hit from a band known for leading the punk/emo/post-hardcore scene? Delicious.
