Blue Origin New Shepard Flies to Space, Lands Safely

Blue Origin has successfully flown their New Shepard booster and spacecraft to space and recovered 100% of the vehicle. This is a ballistic flight to what is officially defined as space (>=100km) whereupon the capsule separates from the booster to lands under parachute. What's most interesting about this flight, however, is that they _succesfully_ landed their booster under rocket power, with the assistance of aerodynamic fins, active maneuvering fins, braking fins, deployable landing gear and a gimbaled motor. Take that SpaceX!

“Full reuse is a game changer, and we can’t wait to fuel up and fly again” founder Jeff Bezos said in a statement. It should also be noted that this is a spacecraft designed to fly human passengers to suborbital space, and is on track to do so before other competitors, although Blue Origin has not stated when New Shepherd will be ready for human occupants.
