Baroness hails from Georgia and YOU should know who they are. If one digs beneath the detritus of cookie monster, testosterone laced, cacaphony that serves as "Metal" one will find the odd jewel such as Baroness. I think this band is one of a few such as Mastodon and Dethklok (yes Dethklok) who make truly moving music in a genre that is overwhelmed with a brobdignagian flood of talentless throat singers and simian drop D tuning.
