I wasn't happy with a lot of the language in the video, especially surrounding the cultures of Germany and Greece. To me those parts sound like someone with a burning private agenda who just wouldn't be able to sleep at night without somehow painting Greek people as the problem and German people as doing the right thing. He tried to appear impartial, but it didn't come off that way to me. That statement sounded like it was full of moral assumptions, and I'm not surprised there's a strong counterargument to it.
8:18 – "Germany is very financially responsible".
The clip makes a few good points, twists others and omits some central issues. But I want to comment on the quote above most of all, because it forms the basis for all kinds of arguments and recommendations.

Time to get nit picky. The title of the video is incorrect. "Why the Recent Space-X Explosions are a Good Thing". Spacex Dragon has had only 1 failure (Sunday) in the last 18 launhces, 4th best record of all launch vehicles in history. Antares is a US vehicle and the Proton is Russian. So the title should read "Why the recent ISS resupply failures are a good thing"

As with anything of a philosophical nature, there are thought experiments we could conduct, and though they might come up with wrong answers, there's a better chance they're right than arbitrarily picking a side, and human civilization was doing just fine before organized religion entered into it.
Expanding on your point about obeying your priest (and giving myself an opportunity to quote my most hated Bible verse), the lesson the Bible teaches in that vein is to obey not just priests, but all human authority because all leaders were placed there by God.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. I tend to think that religion does more harm than good, especially when the lesson it teaches is "Don't think, just trust your priest".
However, his view -could- be right. I cannot think of any way to test it that doesn't involve highly unethical processes, so I can't help but hope that we'll never really know.
