Ah, okay, cheers

I shall have to berate my colleague and declare cube warfare on him until he submits and signs up
Anonymous voting is just an enticement for non-members to feel like they're participating and to get them to convert their non-real votes into real votes.
In the old VS, a message would pop up like "Great, you've started voting! Now sign up to make your votes count!" but I believe that doesn't happen anymore.
The votes don't affect anything. They're only in the user's browser who cast the vote, but if they sign up or sign in, those fake votes will be converted into actual votes.

Hi Lucky

Are unregistered people still allowed to vote? Are they a 1:1 ratio if they are?
I had a colleague at work vote for some but it didn't seem to count. Looking also at a few that have recently been linked on Blues News, the number of votes exactly matches the number of names in the "who voted for this" box. I would have thought some of them might have had non-members voting as well. Unless it's changed and/or they're not a 1:1 ratio.
Just curious.
Thanks

question please oh kind and wonderful sage ...

in this post of mine http://videosift.com/video/Coca-Cola-And-Milk-Experiment , it says there's 4 comments, however I can only see 2 (one by Deathcow and one by an entity the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation describes as "your plastic pal that's fun to be with"). Am I missing something? Thanks

Why don't we *promote Venus?

Sorry for all the questions ...

Apparently I'm not privileged enough to double promote, however nowhere on the star power page does it mention double promote. Do you know what level this is? Thanks

Sorry to bug you again ...
Keep up the good work!!
Don't know if this is just me or not ... with the new permalink page, when viewing one that has a dead video (such as this example) I just get a big blank grey screen where the video should be, which makes me think maybe the page isn't loading properly or something. If I opt out of the beta, then I see the YouTube player window and if I press play I get the message "this video does not exist".
Is there anyway with the beta version to better convey that you're seeing a dead video and not a possible browser error?
Thanks

The tire smoke ahead of the tires was unexpectedly cool.
Astonishing camera work.

a couple of quirks I've just found with the new permalink page ...
when searching for something (hover over watch, hover over search, wait for advanced search window to open), if I want to paste using mouse commands, I right click to open the mouse menu, but then when I move down to select "paste" the search window disappears.
secondly, if I have a permalink page open in a browser window on my second monitor (extended desktop), if while playing the video I click the icon to make it full screen, it opens on my primary monitor, not my second one.
3 weird things that domestication did to dogs
I love the floppy ears on my dog (pugalier). It adds to her cuteness. Plus she has no trouble hearing a can being opened from the other side of the house!
