I've always found down-voting videos after they've had a chance to sift to be the best policy.

I just have to downvote for this guy's stupidity.
Police are there to uphold the laws. Period. If you have a problem with the laws, make an effort to change them, don't try to convince police not to uphold them. Hold police accountable, by all means, but to argue that they shouldn't uphold a particular law is beyond ignorant.
One of the most horrible things I can think of is having a society where the police decide which laws they want to uphold or not.

Probably not, in most cases. But I think the point is that housing elderly inmates is an expensive drain on society--a drain that outweighs the crime. Exile would cheaper.

They deserve compassion, dignity and respect? Did they give that to their victims?

Your video by "The Coup" went dead. Here's a replacement. Let me know when you get it fixed, and I'll vote it up to the front page.

Putting logic to the test. Well done, sir.
In reply to this comment by xxovercastxx:
Nope, I don't. Bush lost in the popular vote but he didn't steal the election. It's just a case of an anomaly in our screwy election system.
This was a good example of why you're such a poor debater, though. If you can't make an argument you just change the topic. You've apparently got nothing to say on the topic of Net Neutrality so you start whining about the election from a year and a half ago. When I call you on your crappy source, you strawman me and start whining about the election from almost 10 years ago.
Most of your "opponents" here are just as ignorant, I know, but you'll have to step your game up if you're going to try to argue with me.

Doesn't bother me in the least. You probably think Bush "stole" the election in 2000, based on...what?
Less than this.
Feel free to google Franken, felons voting illegally

You up-vote the rank, not the person.
This is the same sickening mentality that causes people to vote for class representatives, and public representatives alike (especially Presidents) based upon the individual's perceived popularity of the person in question.
It is based upon the instinct to want to "fit in," rather than forming one's own opinion based upon facts and observations. It's lazy, and it provides a quick excuse for people to not have to actually do the work of forming their own opinions at the risk of becoming the popular outcast. It allows dictatorships to be put into power. And for stupid videos to be upvoted on Videosift.

You didnt get the memo ? I is the new We.
Oh. Well then. That explains it. This is the alternate universe where lemmings are the new humans.

You son of a bitch! beat my by 20 minutes!
But now that im here in the comments section....wow
Socrates stated a long time ago that god cannot make a rule good or bad; that has to come from its own intrinsic qualities. Or in other words, god can't make a rule like "It's right to murder"
Idle banter from the desert tribes of 2000 years ago shouldn't be a part of American law.
