It came up on new years that someone brought a bottle of wine to a party at an apartment complex with no corkscrew. I ask the group, anyone know a good screwless method of opening a bottle? The reply: Ask a neighbor, it's pretty likely there's a corkscrew within a couple hundred feet.

Of course, the first question to ask was whether the effort of finding a corkscrew was necessary... which it wasn't as it was a twist off. Funnily enough, the exact same situation came up about an hour later, with another search for a corkscrew by the uninitiated, with the same result.

Hahaha, using psychology as an example of turnover of scientific knowledge... can't stop laughing!
