Atheism & Christmas

Alright ladies, gents, and blankfist, it's that time of year again, although to some it may not feel ready for it yet. It's time to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus H. Christ. And for those of you that don't believe in bullshit, it's that time of year to make a sacrifice the king of all commercialized holidays.

All jadedness and indented paragraphs aside, Christmas means many things to many people. For most, if it is celebrated, regardless of religious ties, the "meat and potatoes" of the holiday involves spending time with loved ones, sharing gifts to one another, and let's face it, getting the fucking day off.

Let me get your opinion on the holiday. As there is a large percentage of atheists here on videosift, I'm curious as to how you all feel about Christmas. Do you celebrate it? Do you tolerate it? If you have kids, do (did) you tell them the stories about Santa Claus? Where you raised celebrating Christmas?
