Uh-oh!

newtboy says...

You sad, scared, triggered little man.

You really think the Trump appointed FBI and a Trump appointed judge sending red state agents with a valid legal warrant looking for evidence of criminal activity that they found in spades helps Trump?!? Did you see the rally of supporters he had…all 7 of them?! 😂

Or do you just need some silly infantile memes to feel better about big daddy going to prison for treason, like a little hatred blanket woven from ignorance you cling to as you seethe?
Edit: Thanks for answering (in the affirmative) with your last video.

Hershel Walker….this is you guy’s guy? This is you guy pick?

Holy fucking sheep shit. Your party has nominated a completely insane, idiotic, ignorant, uneducated, severely brain damaged, attempted murderer, stupid beyond belief, deadbeat father x3, fake businessman, attempted suicide victim, pathological liar and pure 100% hypocrite for the Senate….because Trump likes him.

That’s how deep the cult you’re in is. Because big daddy poo pants said he’s the man, absolutely nothing else matters. Can you imagine the disaster he would make of Georgia?! “Stop all environmental regulations, our clean air and water goes straight to China anyway. Refuse any public funding because the bills have tracking software woven into them and “they” will know how we spend them. Incarcerate deadbeat dads, but not me, I just kept my 3 other families secret, never visited them, and don’t support them…that’s different. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (really he didn’t graduate at all). I own the biggest 3 companies in America (he worked for one, once).”
This is the cons best.

🤦‍♂️

PS- today Musk called Trump a liar that needs to go away, Trump called Elon a bullshit artist and liar. Who’s side will you choose? Your money’s, or your messiah’s?

Also today Trump referred to DOJ for witness tampering of a yet to testify publicly witness, with phone records to prove it. Ruh-roe. You might get those charges you keep begging for sooner rather than later.

THE DEEP STATE

Sagemind says...

I never know how much of these videos are editorialized or opinion. It's so easy to build a false narrative.

I do believe he believes all this to be true, and I do believe that there is a lot of fact all woven together, but it's still based in belief and opinion.
I'd like to see some of these conjectures investigated, though we all know if it's truth, then none of it will ever be proven. And I think that's the whole problem here.

US nuclear arsenal is a gigantic accident waiting to happen

Chairman_woo says...

Mutually assured destruction I think is often woefully overlooked as a stabilising force in the world.

I don't think it's at all a co-incidence that since nuclear proliferation we have only seen wars vs non nuclear nations. You can never really win meaningfully vs a nation that has the thermo-nuclear trump card in their back pocket.

When superpowers come to blows now, proxy wars are the only realistic option. That may still suck for the poor bastards that get caught up with it, but it does mean a world war is somewhat off the table (even if they like to rattle the sabres from time to time).

Also Starship troopers is an oft misunderstood book I think. Some people get so hung up on the underlying idea of a Military dictatorship that they miss much of the nuance and wisdom woven into it.
I'm not even sure Heinlein was even necessarily advocating such a world, but rather using it as a narrative device to explore how our societies really work once you drop the wishful pretences (especially the stable ones).

It seems like there is perhaps some intrinsic relationship between peace and the capacity for effective and controlled violence. There are few people as calm and non aggressive as the ones who truly know they have nothing to fear from you in a fight.

How you should have climbed the damn rope in gym class

SFOGuy says...

it was long after getting out of school that I discovered fitness for its own sake.
And it's been a good journey; the first steps weren't fun, but now it's woven into my life; and fitness doesn't equal sports (although it can).

FlowersInHisHair said:

For me gym class (or PE as we called it!) wasn't about teaching anything, it was about humiliating me into feeling incapable of even trying to take part. If you weren't already good at sports, the teachers couldn't give a shit about you, happy to leave less-able students to flounder while paying all attention to the boys who could play well already. I was not taught how to play cricket, or football, or tennis, or hockey, or how to use exercise equipment; no ball skills or batting technique; it was assumed people knew how to play already and no instruction was given. The teacher's role was to be referee. Fucking hated it, and it's ruined sports/keep-fit for me for life.

United State of Pop 2014 (Do What You Wanna Do) - DJ Earworm

Trancecoach says...

My buddy Mike Garfield, over at globalish says about this video:

"t’s that time of the year again: since 2008 (a million years ago!), DJ Earworm’s mashup mania crescendos once a year to form an epic audio collage that features Billboard’s favorite 25, all woven into one symphonic DJ mix. It’s like a Google Earth view of the musical identity of young Americans – by zooming out until a year of singles happens in four minutes, culture seems like nature, and the spirit of the times shines through the often-mediocre music Earworm brings together. Seeing Earth from space, we found a new identity beyond the nation states; a similar escape into low orbit around Pop reveals the flavor of the age with more appeal and sentiment than year-end news reviews.
It isn’t merely that “United States of Pop” resamples factory-assembled dross to offer tunes more interesting than their gathered parts. “Do What You Wanna Do” sings volumes about how and who we are right now, the character of mainstream culture we can’t see until it’s past, the air that we’ve been breathing without paying much attention. The cynical might say it demonstrates how all this music sounds the same, how easily it’s recombined – and while that’s definitely true, it’s also and more deeply true that we’re in this together, and will be remembered sharing space on stage as actors in a common play of history. Here is a window into how this moment will be seen, in digest form, the way we now look back on 1969. But go back and look at the mixes from 2008 – 2013, and a trend is obvious: even lousy music’s getting better. It’s an optimistic sign that we are getting deeper as a culture. Let’s hope.
Earworm’s genius lies not only in up-cycling tracks I’d rather never hear again as standalone recordings, but also in transforming the familiar and mundane into a damn-near magical homage to each year’s zeitgeist. This must be what an end-of-life review feels like: everything remembered and forgotten rushes back for one last joyous and nostalgic celebration.
Here’s to the change we all seek in 2015."

@Velocity5
it appears to me you do not fully comprehend what it is to be an artist.

the argument you put forth would make sense in the context that being an artist can be quantified as a "career choice".

i assure you....it is not.

artists live in the present.
they reveal new ways of seeing, thinking and feeling in a constant parade of melodies woven together by the very fabric of humanity.

sometimes beautiful..other times horrific.
the artist rips the veil back to reveal a deeper truth.

the artist is sometimes exhalted.
many times vilified.

but it is never simply by choice.
they cant help themselves.
it is who they are.

so they live their lives according to the truth they perceive around them.
the ones who DO make it a career choice are not artists.
they have sold a talent in exchange for comfort and security and we always are the lesser for it.

US spies on allies for business intel, not national security

poolcleaner says...

Power corrupts. Business and politics are not-so secret lovers. Does anyone not think our governments are filled to the brim with self serving assholes? Since the dawn of our civilization!

In order to be at the top you need to gain an edge, an advantage over the basic humans and their basic, law-abiding, selfless peers. Duh.

We're pattern detecting machines. Stop being so ignorant. If you're in management or leadership of anything in our spectrum of existence you'll see this type of behavior (usually not outright but often obvious rule skirting) allllllllll the time.

And to avoid lying about or being accused of self serving we've made it a rule to be self-serving and divided the transparency of how the system truly works; not to balance but to provide for those making these difficult decisions.

And then you reach that plateau and you find that the lack of transparency and smoke screens by those who have already been there for all these years, well, that's just part of the system; part of business; part of politics, woven for those who play the game and continue to pattern seek and change the rules and/or adapt to the rules to continue reaping the benefits of power.

Devil is in the details, which is where specialists come in, but sometimes you need a holistic perspective of the entirety of being.

Cheech & Chong: Con Talk

dystopianfuturetoday says...

"At one point in time, space travel only existed in science fiction, but with time and hard work, it eventually became a reality. In present day America, it seems impossible that we will ever rid our country of it's primitive, backwards, sociopathic gun culture, but just as sure as we evolved to be capable of space travel, we will also, one day, gain the wisdom to evolve past our current violent pupal stage.

Maybe not today, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or the day after that.... but one day.

I know these words might come as an insult to those unable to dream of a better world, or for those who cling to the status quo like a piss stained security blanket woven of rotten flesh and broken bones, but there have always been people whom insist that the world is flat, the center of the universe and mounted on the back of a great turtle.

Evolution is not easy, but evolve we must. If we are ever to have any hope of co-habitating on this tiny pale blue dot, it is the only path forward."

Interview with Milla Jovovich about The Fifth Element

poolcleaner says...

Shit yes. (It's Puscifer btw.) I saw Mayny and friends play their Boehmian Rhapsody cover, but that's all I saw, sadly. Just wee lil bites of different artists playing live for promotional purposes. Still, seeing that happen when you didn't even know it was going to happen in the first place was one of the pinnacles of my rock n roll existence.

My world is at ease in a tightly woven blanket of Milla, Luc, and Maynard. Starfuckery to the deserving. I'm not worthy.

I really liked this intereview. The Fith Element is in my top ten list of all time great sci-fy movies . Mila was great as the supreme being.
@Deano, I wouldnt pity her for being in lesser movies, as this was such a good film , all later movies will probably be less significant, its a curse to be in such a good film.
I like what she has done with herself since this movie. Pucifer is in my IPOD..
