Meet The Trump Fans Of Q-Anon
This is the paradox of modern politics.
These people are fucking morons of the highest order. They're poorly educated idiots spouting complete nonsense that has zero basis in reality.
In a sane world, we'd ignore them as lunatic outliers. They're not new; they've been here forever, they just change the nonsense.
The problem is that we now live in a world where the most powerful man in the world actively encourages these people, if not explicitly, then at least implicitly with his own brand of deranged paranoia.
The fundamental issue is that internet is great at connecting people, and it doesn't discriminate between connecting Bronies, small-town homosexuals, fans of William Shatner's music, political dissidents in oppressed countries or people who indulge in insane conspiracy theories.
There's no putting that technological genie back in the bottle (and even if we could, the cost would be too great IMO).
So what to do about that?
If we ignore them, they thrive underground and if we give them "airtime" their ranks are bolstered.
I really don't have an answer for this.

STAR TREK BEYOND Official Trailer #2 (2016)
@artician @LiquidDrift
You all are forgetting about Star Trek V, The Search for God. That movie single-handedly almost destroyed the entire franchise.
You could film two hours of William Shatner singing to Chris Pine about why he was the best Kirk and it wouldn't be worse than Star Trek V.

Sorry to bug you again ...
Don't know if this is just me or not ... with the new permalink page, when viewing one that has a dead video (such as this example) I just get a big blank grey screen where the video should be, which makes me think maybe the page isn't loading properly or something. If I opt out of the beta, then I see the YouTube player window and if I press play I get the message "this video does not exist".
Is there anyway with the beta version to better convey that you're seeing a dead video and not a possible browser error?
Thanks Keep up the good work!!
Britney Spears - Alien (NO AUTOTUNE)
Is it really dying though? I really don't follow any music. but something tells me they're still raking in the dough in massive amounts though.
Like someone else said. People keep buying this stuff. The demand is there and they are just supplying it.
I have to agree, both versions are horrible, but I don't like pop in the first place, so I am biased.
Too many people actually give a damn about what celebrities do when they're not making movies or singing songs. Many of the celebrities themselves are sick of the frenzy. Some give it up, but some stay for the paycheck. How many times do people refer to a celebrity by their character's name instead of their actual name. "Oh shit, I just saw Captain Kirk!", vs "Oh shit, I just saw William Shatner!"
When people don't like the drudgery of their own lives, they start thinking about other peoples' lives.
That being said. It's a terrible situation when the "Music" industry prefers image over the ability to sing or play instruments.
... And they are wondering why the music industry is dieing?
Music is ability, imagination, art and talent coming together in a cohesive lump which provokes emotions fused with a rhythm that lets you feel it inside.
That's not manufactured - it's Emoted.
"Lets try putting music first in the industry again!!!!!"
Open Letter to Ellen Degeneres: Don't Promote A Psychic
Definitely would.. if only she hadn't turned down the offer to take the Randi test.
From Wiki:
"In 2012, the James Randi Educational Foundation awarded Caputo a Pigasus Award for being, in its view, the "psychic" performer who fooled the greatest number of people with the least effort in the preceding year. A Pigasus award was also given to TLC for continuing to air the show.[59] In an article published by Wired Magazine the organization's founder James Randi explained why he believed shows like Long Island Medium were deceptive and potentially harmful to its participants:
Why do these pseudo-psychic spectacles bother those of us at the James Randi Educational Foundation? First, and foremost: They are not true. [...] But much more importantly to us, such performances seem to prey on people at their most vulnerable moments — those who have suffered the loss of loved ones — and these mediums use such grief to make a buck. Psychologists tell us this keeps the grieving stuck in their grief, rather than going through the natural stages of acceptance that are healthy.
—James Randi[1]
In June of that year, Caputo appeared in a commercial for Priceline.com in which she portrayed herself "connecting" with the late Priceline Negotiator character previously played by William Shatner.[60] However, this commercial has sparked controversy, since the commercial appears to make light of the Native American belief of smudging.[61] JREF President DJ Grothe issued a statement decrying Priceline.com: "It is difficult to watch the show and not feel heartbroken for those who are desperate to hear from the departed... and even more so if they are being manipulated by a charlatan." Grothe urged the organization to have their new spokeswoman take the James Randi Million Dollar Challenge and prove her paranormal claims."
James Randi would have fun with her.
Gardening with Patrick Stewart
Patrick Stewart is fast approaching auto-upvote status with me. Ironically, the only other person to reach that pinnacle is William Shatner.
